Your Choice Affects your Future

When Ruth gleaned in the fields of Boaz, she was noticed by the owner himself. Ruth 2:5-6 reads:

“Boaz asked the foreman of his harvesters, “Whose young woman is that?” 6 The foreman replied, “She is the Moabitess who came back from Moab with Naomi.”

In the passage above, Boaz noticed Ruth because she gleaned in his fields. They were eventually married later on. Ruth’s decision to go with Naomi to Bethlehem and glean in the fields of Boaz changed the direction of her life forever. Because of this choice, she ended up marrying Boaz and living as a Jew in Bethlehem for the rest of her life.

Ruth may not have been aware of it, but her decision to accompany Naomi to Bethlehem and glean in the field of Boaz was a strongsuit.
