We are children of God!

Be Defined by Faith

We each have our own unique perception of ourselves. Do you know who you are? How do you define yourself? Are you aware of who you are in the eyes of God?

You are a child of God! The Bible says in Galatians 3:26 NKJV, “For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus.” The Bible is filled with passages that pertain to the children of God and their relationship with the Heavenly Father. But because of the distractions and challenges in our daily life, we often forget our spiritual identity.

When we are asked to describe ourselves, do we even remember that we are children of God? Most of us start with describing our career, where we live, our hobbies and interests etc. We sometimes aim to impress other people with these things, but the most impressive thing about us is often left out. We forget to declare that God’s presence lives inside of us!

You are not defined by your job, your education, your financial status, or marital status, but by your faith. Let your identity be rooted in faith and good works according to God’s will. Remember, God’s presence lives within you.

“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God,who loved me and gave himself for me.”

Galatians 2:20

As Christ lives within us, He has placed blessings in our hands. We must join what we have in our hands together with our faith. When you offer to the Lord in faith what He has already given you, you will have a new sense of meaning in your life. No matter how small or simple it is, God is pleased with what you have offered up to Him. Allow Him to use you to do His work.
