Ultimate Expression of God’s Love

Forgiveness, salvation, and everlasting life – all of these were made possible and available because of the great love of God to man. Man did nothing to gain the love of God. Man was living in sin. Man knew nothing but to hurt God and dwell in the presence of sin. The penalty for the sins of man was eternal separation from God. It was eternal death penalty. But God saved man from death. He sacrificed His son Jesus. And it was because of love. The death of Jesus on the cross was the ultimate expression of God’s love to man. The bible said: “This is real love – not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.”

Would you sacrifice the life of your son just to save the life of the man who killed your wife? You might think it’s absurd, but God did. He sacrificed the life of His one and only precious son just for you to be saved and have life.
