Dare to Stand Out

We say that all people are all the same. All children in the eyes of God. All humans of the same build, same composition. Each is a remarkable being equipped with systemic ways of thinking, and organized bodily functions and capacities way more than we can imagine.

In a sea of people who can do the things you can, there seems to be constant competition. Someone will always be smarter than you; some better at singing or some other talent that you may have. In other words, someone will always be better than you.

If that is the case, how can a person stand out? There is one thing we should all do first: Stop comparing!

Each individual is a remarkable creation indeed. What will really make people stand out are their choices. We have a lot of decision making in this world. Our choices are what defines us. It is what makes life exciting and unique.

People tend to shy away and that is what keeps them from being great. The fear of what other men might say is another form of pride that must be eradicated. It is limiting and it does not help foster growth in an individual.

The fear that someone might be better than you is irrational. Of course there is, but in that moment, your actions will define what you really are. Do not shy away, instead, bravely face the struggle. Do not be afraid to stand out from the crowd, despite voices telling you what to do and who you should be.

It is important that you know who you are. Define and create the true, unique you. This is a journey of self discovery to see how special you can be, because you are already special in God’s eyes and He will be proud of your growth.
