What is a parent? According to general definition, parents are the caregivers to their offspring. We were brought into this world by human parents and taught our first steps.

God is our Parent. He may not have reared us physically, but He is the architect that engineered our bodies to the way it is right now. He provided us with everything that we need to survive in this dark and dreary wilderness. The Bible helps us understand more about this characteristic.

“Acts 7: 29 Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man’s device.”

We must not think about God as an inanimate object to be worshipped, rather, we should treat Him as our eternal living father. Because we are the offspring of God, we are given an idea about His nature as we discover ourselves and the great potentials that we explore. God has explored it all. He is the utmost potential we are trying to reach. Light cleaveth unto light and as children of light, we must shed our humanity to uncover the brilliant glow that we have within us passed down by our loving father in Heaven, who sent us here on earth to learn and progress that we may grow from grace to grace. Every parent wants the best for their child. We have a perfect father who loves us perfectly and knows that it is necessary for us to live on this earth and choose for ourselves to be more like Him.
