We Are Not Alone

What can you break in one word? Silence. People have been given the wonderful gift of communication. It is something that’s not selfish. This is one of the gifts that was definitely meant to be shared. How would you feel to be in a world where you cannot express yourself; if there was no speech, no way of telling your thoughts and ideas? It would be a lonely world indeed.

God never wants us to feel that we are alone. Even though He is not physically with us in our earthly state, He has given us a multitude of blessings to give us company in this life.

One of the blessings God gave us is people. He gave us each other; to help one another through all that we have to go through in life. Another blessing is the Comforter, the Holy Ghost.  He has given us His spirit so that when we pray or when He talks to us we can feel it. The Holy Ghost gives us that warm feeling that reassures, affirms and lets us know of the surety of things. Lastly, and perhaps the greatest blessing, is that He gave us His Son — the Holy Begotten One, Jesus Christ himself as the ultimate testifier that God did not let us walk this world alone. His life is the ultimate definition of sacrifice, of love.

The challenge is to get to know the Savior more. Read about His life in the Holy Scriptures and walk in the paths that He took. We do not have to receive multiple beatings, be mocked and be crucified. He has done it all for us. What we have to see when we go through all the trials is how He handled His. The perfect example of long suffering and of patience. He loved even when He was unloved. It may be hard, but the Lord does not require perfection right away; but in time, He expects us to try. So keep striving, just do your best and let God handle the rest.
